Hey sewing friends! The hubby and I were headed out to dinner Saturday night and I needed something to wear, so I quickly put together this super fun skirt. I had made one before and wanted to have another just like it so I used a free pattern by Patterns for Pirates called the Pirate Pencil Skirt. It was an easy pencil skirt pattern to do this simple hack and create this beautiful back slit with a zipper. The zipper is functioning so you can have a much higher daring slit if you want! The fabric is leftover remnants of a beautiful Rayon Ponte Knit from Sew Much Fabric. This fabric is so beautifully soft and easy to work with! Both fabric and pattern make a beautiful skirt for me to wear whenever I need a little black skirt!
