Pat says “I love sewing knit fabrics! I found a yard of this beautiful Ponte knit from Sew Much Fabric in my fabric stash. The pattern I chose is Simplicity 9679, and the suggested fabrics are knits. This pattern is beginner-friendly! The color is merlot, perfect for the fall and winter seasons. This top is a fast, easy weekend project to sew within three hours, including laying out the pattern pieces, cutting, and sewing. The design includes sleeve variations from sleeveless to long; however, I preferred to shorten the long sleeves to elbow length. I plan to style this top with black opera-length leather gloves.
