One of my recent makes is a two-piece outfit with a long sleeve T-Shirt from Vogue 1914 and the Winnie pants by Made for Mermaids in Chocolate Chip 11oz Rayon Jersey. This pattern was highlighted by Roz in a blog post for holiday wear last year. I liked the asymmetrical hemline and architectural look of the top. It is casual and fashionable, travels well and can be dressed up with a necklace, wrap and change of shoes. To sew the garment, I used a Stretch needle (size 70), Guterman 596 polyester thread and Fashion Elastic. Using my walking foot was very helpful when sewing the rayon jersey knit along with a slight (0.5) width zigzag. I am excited about having an easy to wear, easy to sew wardrobe building block piece in brown!
Sew Much Fabric has twenty-two different colors of 11 oz. rayon jersey to choose from to work with your wardrobe and favorite colors. Happy Sewing!
