Ronnie says “Last summer I made a dress using V1086, a Tracy Reese pattern in a one of Roz’s fabrics she called black daisy a rayon crepe. Well in discussions about the potential for me to freeze to death in air conditioning in a sleeveless dress, she suggested a white denim jean jacket as a potential solution to the anticipated problem. Roz has a fantastic white denim in stock and she suggested Butterick 5616. The pattern went together beautifully and the only alterations I made was to nip in the waist a little so it wasn’t so boxy and I added small shoulder pads. I plan to make this pattern again, but will omit the buttons on the sleeve cuff and just make it a band, because it can be a little uncomfortable if you place you arms on a table. Love my jacket and the white denim! You can’t go wrong with Roz’s suggestions, she is always on point with current fashions and has fantastic fabrics! “ Thanks Ronnie!
